Following the events of Hitman 2, Agent 47, Diana Burnwood, Olivia Hall and Lucas Grey continue their mission to take down The Partners. The game begins with Agent 47, Grey, and Diana planning their ambush of the Partners in the Burj Al-Ghazali. As the story unfold, Agent 47 travel to 6 countries and 3 continents. This is also the finale to the Hitman Series:  World of Assasinations Trilogy that begun in 2016.

GameHertz Editor noted that Hitman Series is very similar concept of 007 James Bond Movie. The Agent uses 47 as codename and is from London Intel Agency MI 6 (007 is also from London MI 6). Both the characters wear tuxedo as trademark outfit. The protagonist Agent 47 remains the same throughout Hitman games. In one of the typical Hitman games, Agent 47 travel across the globe visiting vineyards and nightclubs before culminating his story in the Carpathian Mountains. The hitman series share a lot of similar vibe to the 007 movie including the iconic stealth assassinations carried out by 007.
